Updated for 2026 based on runner feedback. Fully plastic-free on the route — all water in 100% recyclable cups. Please use the bins provided. Additional medical resource is positioned at various points throughout the route.
Any clothing discarded in the start area will be collected and donated to local charities.
Look out for volunteers in pink hi-vis along the route and at key turning points. As well as cheering you on, they will help with directions for runners and spectators.
In an emergency, move to the side of the road to allow access for emergency vehicles. Follow any instructions from course marshals at all times. If you see anything unusual, report it immediately to the nearest event staff member or security personnel.
The medical centre is located shortly after the finish line. Professional medical staff will be available on the route, at the bag drop area, and at the first aid station (4.2km). Additional medical resource is positioned at various points throughout the route so help is never far away. There will be a medical information point at the help desk. If you feel unwell during the race, stop and find your nearest marshal or aid station.
We strongly encourage all runners to avoid wearing headphones. Hearing marshal instructions and any emergency announcements is important for your safety and the safety of those around you. Running without headphones also means you can fully soak up the incredible atmosphere on the route.

Make it Personal with an iTAB.
Are you running the Saucony London 10K for the first time, chasing that elusive PB, fundraising for a special cause, or aiming to achieve a special personal goal? Whatever your reason for running, celebrate your achievement in style by personalising your finisher medal with an iTAB.
Mark your moment and make your Saucony London 10K finisher medal extra special.
Each kilometre will be clearly marked on the route.
If you find or misplace an item, lost property will be located at the Help Desk in Waterloo Place on race day. Any items not collected on the day will be stored for up to one month after the event. Please contact the team to arrange collection.
Marathon Photos photographers will be on course and at the finish line. Look out for the "smile for the camera" signs. We will send a pre-race email with a link for friends and family to follow your run live, and an email after the event to purchase your photos.
Prizes will be awarded virtually after the event to the top three finishers in the male and female categories, and the top non-binary finisher. Winners will be contacted directly in the days following the race.
Many of our runners are taking on the Saucony London 10K for a charity close to their heart. We love being part of your fundraising journey. There are no specific charity-only areas or facilities at the event, but your supporters are very welcome to cheer you on at the viewing spots along the route. If you are running for charity, do not forget to share your fundraising page before and after the race.
With thousands of runners, we need to manage timings carefully. Any runners predicted to finish after 12:15 may be asked to move to the pavement so we can get London moving again. The sweep team will be there to support you. All finishers, regardless of finish time, remain eligible for a finisher medal at the finish line.
We have a fantastic line-up of live entertainment all along the route to energise runners and keep spirits high. Entertainment locations can be seen on the route map. We strongly suggest running without headphones so you can hear emergency announcements and soak up the atmosphere.
Results will go live on the Saucony London 10K website in the afternoon after the race. Check the website to find your result. If you registered with a UK mobile number, you will also receive a text with your official race time when you finish. Please note the text will only be sent to UK numbers.
We have been working closely with the Metropolitan Police Service throughout the planning of the event. Over 400 security personnel are positioned at all key areas around the route. If you see anything unusual, please report it immediately to the nearest event staff member or security team member.
Your timing chip is attached to your race bib. Do not remove, bend, fold, or cover the chip as we will be unable to record your time. If your chip arrives bent in the post, visit the help desk on race morning for a replacement.
In most cases you will not know if your chip has failed during the race. If you cross the finish line and later find your result is missing or incorrect, please fill in the timing query form on the Saucony London 10K website and our timing team will investigate.
Toilets are located in the bag drop area at Waterloo Place, at the entrance to the start area at the bottom of St James's Street, and at each aid station on the route. There are also toilets on the Embankment north pavement, outside Somerset House.
Toilets on the way to the start line:
Family, friends and fans can track participants via the official Saucony London 10K App once runners have crossed the start line. Available on App Store and Google Play from a week before the event.
Consider bringing your own water bottle to run self-sufficient. There will be water cups at both aid stations, plus refill points before the start on St James's Street and at the first aid station at 4.2km.
We strongly recommend public transport. Check TfL and National Rail the week before for planned disruptions.
Avoid Green Park, Piccadilly and Leicester Square — these will be extremely busy.
Local buses may be diverted from 04:30 due to road closures. Check tfl.gov.uk in the week before.
We do not recommend driving. Many roads close from 05:00 and parking will be extremely difficult.
View road closure map →No specific cycle parking at the event. Santander Cycle docking stations along the route will be suspended. Parts of the Cycle Superhighway on Victoria Embankment, Westminster Bridge and Parliament Square will be closed.
Thousands of runners will be heading to the start Sunday morning. Plan ahead, allow plenty of time, and arrive within your allocated pen window.
A team of pacers will be in the start pens and out on the route to support and encourage you. Look out for their pacer flags. Times are finishing times in minutes.

Wed 8 - Fri 10 Jul: 12:00-19:00
Sat 11 Jul: 10:00-17:30
Bring photo ID and your QR code (sent during race week). A friend or family member may collect on your behalf.
If your bib has not arrived by Friday 11 July, visit Saucony Store on Saturday to collect a replacement. Your original bib will be cancelled and a new one issued.
Your bib indicates if you opted in or out of a t-shirt at registration. If you opted out, please do not pick one up at the finish — this ensures runners who did opt in receive their correct size.
At the bottom of your bib are two tear-off tags. The bottom tag is your baggage label and attaches to your bag. The top tag is your reclaim tag — keep it on your bib throughout the run and have it ready for the baggage staff when collecting your bag after the race. Please attach the tag to your bag before arriving to keep queues down.
Bag drop is at Waterloo Place, SW1Y 5ER. Follow signs to the bay matching your race number. Maximum bag size is 45cm x 45cm x 25cm (standard backpack size). Larger bags, holdalls and suitcases will not be accepted. Random bag checks will be in operation. If possible, arrive race ready with no bag and head directly to your start pen.
Write your name on the front of your bib so that spectators can cheer you on by name. Bring your own safety pins and secure your bib visibly on the front of your running top before leaving home.
Once you cross the finish line, here is what happens next. Keep moving through the finish funnel to keep the line clear for other finishers.
Once you cross the line, keep walking through the finish funnel. This keeps the finish area clear for other runners coming through behind you. Do not stop immediately after the line.
If you need medical attention, medics will be stationed in the finish area. Please let a volunteer or marshal know and they will direct you straight away. Do not push through if you are feeling unwell.
Volunteers will be handing out finisher medals as you walk through the finish funnel. Every finisher receives a medal, regardless of finish time.
Water will be available as you continue through the finish area. Please take one and keep moving.
If you opted in for a finisher t-shirt at registration, you can collect it as you walk through. Please only pick up one t-shirt in the size you chose when you registered. Taking the wrong size means other finishers may miss out on theirs. Keep walking through to keep the flow moving.
If you used bag drop, head to Waterloo Place to collect your bag as soon as you can after finishing. Have your reclaim tag (attached to your bib) ready for the baggage staff. Bag drop closes at 13:00 — collect before then to avoid queues.
